Good Morning Dear Ones! Happy Tuesday to you all! I pray that this day will hold many wonderful delights for each one of you.
The picture above is a fruit salad the girls and I made the other night after supper… of course I thought it was pretty and had to take a picture and Shannon laughed at me! I guess my constant picture taking of things is a bit funny.
Speaking of pictures… you must go check out my flickr badge on the right side of my blog… it has some of our latest bird finds on there… Yesterday we spent a good part of the morning watching and identifying the birds we have visit us at Bird Central, and then we looked up more information about them. It was spontaneous learning at its best!!!
Here are a couple of our favorites…
This is one of our friends, the Tufted Titmouse Eli is crazy about this little bird! He talks about it constantly. It grows to about 6″ and is a close cousin to the Carolina Chickadee. The call of the Tufted Titmouse is a loud sound that says “peter, peter, peter”
Cameo’s favorite is the Northern Cardinal. She loves the vibrant red color. The Cardinal grows to about 8″ or 9″. When they are courting the male will feed the female… how neat is that? The call sounds like “cheer, cheer, cheer, what, what, what”
Isn’t it GORGEOUS??? <~Insert Steve Irwin’s voice here~
(side note… did any of you cry when he died? oh my, it broke my heart)
Have a great day my friends!
My Cup Runneth Over…

LOL, yes, Chas, our family cried, too, when Steve died. It was a sad day!
I've been wanting to get some bird feeders, now you've got me thinking I need to go check on them while I'm at the store today…
The fruit salad picture made me laugh, too, because Harold got me a new laptop for Christmas and I've been playing with the webcam on it, taking pictures of myself in different light to see what works. The kids and Harold have been laughing at me all week! 🙂

Hey Chas! Your blog is always a cheery pick-me-up!
My family and I love bird watching. If you haven't discovered Birds and Blooms magazine and website yet, check it out. Chickadees and Titmice are easily lured to handfeeding, especially in colder months. Talk about some great photo ops there!
Have a blessed day!

Dear Chas,
Yes, the children and I cried when Steve Irwin died. I remember the first time we ever watched him. We were on Christmas vacation visiting family, looking for something decent to watch. We were pleased to find the Crocodile Hunter and enjoyed much laughter and fun in finding him.
Thank you for remembering the Crocodile Hunter, he was a good role model, and we miss him.
