Counting down to my most favorite day in all the year is special. I want to make the most of this precious season, without making it TOO busy, but still doing things to make it memorable and fun.
And this year… well, I’m behind, but I still wanted to make something and get it put up as soon as we could.
Seeing an idea on Pinterest, and keeping it in the back of my mind, I knew what this years countdown would look like.
I cut out a very primitive star and made that our base. We cut enough out for each day of the 25 days till Christmas… well, at this point. Like I said, we are a bit behind.
The kids and I used a chalk pen and decorated the fronts.
I wrote on the back of each star with an activity to do that day or that evening.
Simple, but fun things to look forward to each day.
One days activity says:
String popcorn for the tree
Make reindeer pancakes
Watch “The Nativity”
You get the idea.
Use whatever your family would enjoy!
Let the countdown begin!
Happy Christmas!

Just had to let you know that I made your Coq Au Vin tonight for supper and what a great recipe. Our daughter and grandson are living with us right now and we all voted that this is a keeper! Will make it later this month again when our oldest son and his wife come for Christmas. Thank you for sharing. Blessings, Carolyn in Florida
