A week in the garden update:
Things are really coming along. We are now getting squash, zucchini, and sometimes peppers daily. I expect to get tomatoes in the next few weeks. I look forward to gathering flowers as well as an apron full of garden produce.
The butternut squash has started sprawling out big time. Today we actually put up a new trellis system, I can’t wait to see how they grow. I adore butternut squash.
Blackberries are in abundance as well, and I have been picking them every day or so. I’ve put up quite a few jars of blackberry jam.
We still don’t have bees… but I hope that is on the list before it gets too much farther down the road.
My companion while picking blackberries early in the morning this week.
I made that arrangement in the old watering can for our church’s 80th homecoming this past Sunday… when we were finished with the decor I brought it home and decided it was a great addition to the porch.
And last but not least, the turmeric has sprouted! I am excited to know that I will be able to grow this wonderful food… packed with so much health! It thrills me!
I hope you enjoyed walking through the garden with me.
Blessings!
