On Thursday morning, we left out for our annual Woodlawn Women’s Retreat.
It was cold and feeling like winter again! And on Friday, we got to see some beautiful snow falling. No accumulations, but it was still wonderful to see!
AND
It didn’t cause any issues driving so that was a big bonus!
We stayed in a beautiful cabin and had a fabulous time!
Lots of laughs and tears and learning and loving.
Our retreats are always such a source of inspiration and encouragement.
Several of these pictures were taken from a friend of mine, I barely took ANY pictures, (gasp!)!
The one above is hers and it is GORGEOUS! There was snow on the top of the Smokey Mountains.
Our Bible studies were convicting and encouraging and challenging.
Me and my sweet friend Karen!!!
And my hands and feet partner for Friday!!
Our Pastor’s wife, Beth, gave us a copy of this picture below…. a depiction of Jesus as He was reaching His hand down and pulling Peter back out of the water… It is SO beautiful!
It make me want to sing the old song
It make me want to sing the old song
“When He reached down His hand for me!”
Once my soul was astray from the heavenly way I was wretched and vile as could be
But my Saviour in love gave me peace from above
When he reached down his hand for me
When he reached down his hand for me when he reached way down for me
I was lost and undone without my God or his son
When he reached down his hand for me
But my Saviour in love gave me peace from above
When he reached down his hand for me
When he reached down his hand for me when he reached way down for me
I was lost and undone without my God or his son
When he reached down his hand for me
I was near to despair when he came to me there
And he showed me that I could be free
Then he lifted my feet gave me gladness complete
When he reached down his hand for me
When he reached down
And he showed me that I could be free
Then he lifted my feet gave me gladness complete
When he reached down his hand for me
When he reached down
Some pictures that I got from my sweet friend again… I have got to make sure to take more photos next time!
But I always take the group shot. We are such a big crowd I have to open doors to get back far enough to take the picture. It makes me laugh when I get to look through some of the “get ready” pictures. I love these ladies SOOO much!
And here’s our final group shot.
What a blessing to be a part of this group of beautiful, Godly women.
